GINGER + MONTERA
Ginger and Montera, both designed by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau, embody a poetic balance between structure and softness. Ginger, with its enveloping saddle leather shell, is a protective cocoon, sculpted to cradle the body. Montera, lighter and more sinuous, speaks with a delicate curve, where the stitching on the backrest hints at a subtle, knowing smile. Together, they express the designer’s mastery of form—a dialogue between strength and gentleness, where every contour is an invitation to comfort.

Though they share Lazzeroni’s distinctive hand, Ginger and Montera tell two different stories of elegance. Ginger, regal and precise, is an embrace wrapped in refined saddle leather, its solid wood base grounding it in timeless craftsmanship. Montera, in contrast, is playful and fluid, its tactile blend of materials creating an effortless warmth. They coexist like poetry and prose—one structured and bold, the other lyrical and inviting—each an exquisite tribute to the art of seating, where design becomes a sensory experience.
